Cellar Fella, Viticulturalist and Owner - Peter Davies

Peter is left handed which explains a lot. He always wanted to be a farmer but for some strange reason joined the Army and trained as an ammunition technical officer. With most of his fingers still intact, he can now do what he loves, and grow fine wine grapes for Shepherds Run.

Christine is a registered nurse which is helpful when you half cut off your finger(s) in the vineyard. Like many wives and mothers she has to some degree been dragged into a new venture by her very enthusiastic husband and daughter.  She is the place where commonsense and reality reside.

 

 

  

Restaurant & Cellar Door Manager, Student Winemaker - Elke Davies

Elke is determined to make the defining Canberra District wine. Could be Riesling (more flavour potential than Chardonnay) or cool climate Shiraz (this is Australia).
