Cooking Classes

Shepherds Run Wines & Restaurant holds cooking classes throughout the year.

All the classes are taught here at the restaurant & usually on a weekday evening.

Our very popular Italian Cooking Classes are taught by Mario Larocca.  Mario learnt to cook when a child at his mother's knee, & has subsequently taught Adult Education Classes at Erindale College in Canberra & of course here at Shepherds Run.  He will teach you how to make fresh pasta from scratch, beautiful insalata, polo & scaloppini dishes, pizza, tiramisu & other desserts.

The lessons are very much a hands on experience.  You prepare all your dishes in the main area of the restaurant & then cook them in our commercial kitchen.

Then it's dinner time!  Everyone sits down to eat the wonderful meal just prepared.  Buonissimo!

Beginner's Italian: 

Starts on Thursday 24 May at 6:30pm

Kids cooking class: 

TBA but sometime in the school holidays.  This suggestion has just been made, so we're in the process of putting together a programme.  Elke will teach this course.  Please let us know if you're interested in your kids participating so we can judge if there's enough interest out there.

 

Shepherds Run also offers private single session pasta making classes.  These make a great team building day, conference partner day, family get-together or hen's party.  They can be held on any day of the year (subject to other bookings) to suit you.  Feel free to call us on 02 6238 3842 for further information.
